It is amazing to know that once all people were noble and of good nature .They were all Satvic and had pious spiritual pracises in their day to day routine.There were a separate group of people known as asuras who were ill natured.This indicatesall others were well behaved,cultured and pious.The asuras had their own boundaries to live and whenever they crossed boundaries and tortured people,Almighty descended down as an Avatar to eleminate such evil forces.

As and when such evil forces were eleminated it was celebrated and these celebrations became festivals. Elemination of Mahishasura by Ambal is Navaratri and elemination of Naragasura by Krishna is Diwali.Whenever negative forces are eleminated, there is light.Until then there is darkness.Darkness denotes ignorance and light denotes bliss.

Unfortunately today the attitudes of asura vargha is manifested in various social forms .As negative qualities dominate the thought process of individuals and manifests in many ways leading to social unrest.The purpose of these festivals are to meditate on light and positive energies so as to gain strength to eleminate negative energies.

Diwali is one such occasion where it is not just a cultural celebration but also a day for meditation.It is a day when people should sit before a deepam and meditate to cleanse all negativities in them.May this Diwali bring the light of clarity and positivity in each human being and eleminate all forms of negativity.

I pray Lord Vishvanatha and my Gurus to bestow their grace on seekers and the

whole human population on this auspicious day.

முன்னொரு காலத்தில் மனிதர்கள் அனைவருமே நல்லியல்புகளும்

நற்பண்புகளும் பக்தியும் கொண்டவர்களாக இருந்தனர் என்பதே

கொண்டவர்களோ அசுரர்கள் என்றழைக்கப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் தங்கள்

எல்லைகளுக்குள் தனித்து வசித்தனர்.எப்போதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் தங்கள்

எல்லைகளைத் தாண்டிவந்து நல்லோரை வதைத்தனரோ அப்போதெல்லாம்

கடவுள் அவதாரமெடுத்துவந்து அவர்களை அழித்தார்.

தீய சக்திகள் அழிக்கப்பட்டபோதெல்லாம் அவர்களின் வீழ்ச்சியை உலகம்

கொண்டாடியது. அந்தக் கொண்டாட்டங்களே பண்டிகைகள் ஆயின.அம்பாள்

மகிஷசுரனை வதம் செய்தது நவராத்திரியாகவும் நரகாசுரனை கண்ணன்

வதம் செய்தது தீபாவளியாகவும் கொண்டாடப்படுகின்றன.தீயசக்திகள்

விழும்போதெல்லாம் ஒளி எழுகிறது.இருள் அறியாமையின் அடையாளம்.

ஒளி ஆனந்தத்தின் அடையாளம்.

துரதிருஷ்டவசமாக இன்று தீயசக்திகள் தங்கள் எல்லைக்குள் அடங்கியிராமல் வெவ்வேறு வடிவங்களில் வெளிப்படுகின்றன.அதன்மூலம் சமூகத்தில் அமைதியின்மை நிலவுகிறது.தீயசக்திகளை வீழ்த்துவதற்காக தவம் புரியத்தான் பண்டிகைகள் கொண்டாடப்படுகின்றன..

தீபாவளி கொண்டாட்டத்திற்கு மட்டுமின்றி நல்லவை பெருகவும் அல்லவை

அழியவும் தவம் புரிவதற்குரிய திருநாள். தீபத்தின் முன்னிலையில் இந்த சங்கல்பத்தை மனதில்வைத்து பிரார்த்தனையோ தவமோ புரிந்து தங்களைத்

தாங்களே தூய்மைப்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

இந்த தீபாவளி ஒவ்வொரு தனிமனிதருக்குள்ளும் ஆக்கபூர்வமான அதிர்வுகளையும் ஆன்மத் தெளிவையும் அருள்வதாகுக.

ஆத்மத் தேடல் உள்ளவர்களை மட்டுமின்றி மனிதகுலம் முழுமைக்கும் தீபாவளித் திருநாளில்திருவருள் புரிய எல்லாம்வல்ல அருள்மிகு காசி விசுவநாதரையும் என் குருமார்களையும் பிரர்த்திக்கிறேன்.
