GOOD PEOPLE IN A BAD WORLD

How do I or the other good aathmas in the society work for the welfare of our country which is facing culural, religious demolition, anti humanity activities, harrasment of woman, afforestation of fertile lands and so many?

Dear Venkatraman.
There are so many things happening in this country due to so many reasons. Cultural and religious demolitions are happening due to misinterpretation about religion and culture. They have got the basics wrong. Similarly harassment of women happens not only due to modern evils which have arisen with all the so called developments but also due to tamasic trend.

Afforestation of forest lands happen due to the selfish attitude of people. There are many more unwanted happenings which are due to ignorance and lack of clarity towards life.

 

Today many find it hard to stick with right activity, as prescribed by dharma and lead a simple life. The beauty of this culture and society are changing for bad. For many people, money is their first love. Wealth has become the top priority. So as to accumulate wealth, selfish attitude is fed into everyone right from childhood.

Studies are meant to impart knowledge but now they are seen as means to equip for campus interview. These trends are so confusing and the present generation is by and large mislead.

At the same time, though people are in illusion they have their own transition time. Money is real. But if someone thinks money alone can give peace and happiness, this thought is an illusion. The world has witnessed adharma in many forms right from the beginning and the physical form given to evilness was known as Asura.

But those days Asuras had a separate place to exist which was known as Asuraloka. But today the asuras are everywhere in the society without any distinctive identity. Negativity can never give a peaceful solution in the society, so it cannot survive for a long time. Even then it has the power to manifest itself. See, however evil a person is, he is in search of peace and clarity. That is what he ultimately seeks but the ways and formulas are wrong.

So you need not worry as peace and harmony are the real priorities for everyone. However worse the external condition is, good things should consistently happen. Service, compassion, selfless help should all find its place in the society. When the people in path of adharma seem to be powerful, peace seekers should be thousand times powerful than them. I am telling this because the thought of dharma, peace and nobility are the greatest sources of power and energy.

So, keep spreading your commitment for peace and compassion. They are infectious!!
