How do you stay tuned?

This is the continuation of Sri Balarishi's lecture at a national symposium organised by TEDex-An organization for excellence on DEVOTE at Hotel Le Meridian, Coimbatore on 6th April 2013. Sri Balarishi
delivered a lecture on STAY TUNED.

How do you stay tuned ?

When you don't  use your  body  properly , that itself can create frustration to your mind .Many are not aware that the disturbance arising in  a mind can be through the body also. When you  handle body  properly  it  helps your mind a lot to settle down in calmness. Similarly when mind suffocates with bigger load of thoughts, there is no enough  breathing space in  your mind. When you  try to take too many puzzles of life at the same  time  in your mind, it suffocates. It  will not be  able to cope up with it.  In such cases instead of being an instrument, mind itself proves to be a distraction.

All of us have goals. Targets and destinations to reach. If at all the  goals arrive  out of clarity,  then the ups and downs which you go through will never be a botheration. You will not only accept the hindrances on your way as an experience but you will also be enriched by that experience. This attitude will help you to stay tuned in whatever you do.

Some times too  many thoughts sprout up at the same time .As there is traffic jam , there is a jam in your thought process also,At such times, just relax .Rest to your back ,close your eyes and count your thoughts. As you  start counting your  thoughts, you  can very clearly distinguish one thought from the other thought . Now there will be an order in the flow of thought , Once u start watching your thoughts the thought process  will slow down  to a considerable  level. This is one way .

Similarly  you have to do some breathing exercise. I don’t call it as an exercise but effortless breathing with some awareness is needed. Just consciously inhale and exhale . You need not  hold your breath. While your exhaling  consciously push away the unwanted thoughts Again  take a fresh breath. And exhale again .

If at  all you need consistency in happiness  whatever you do it should be for the bigger cause. In the sense it should be of some meaning and value to others or the society around you . More you give love  more you become happy. The more care  you give to those who need it,your happiness and peace of mind will be taken care of . Anything done for the welfare of society has some spiritual relevance and they are sure to be spiritually benefited .
