Social outreach

“ The children are in very exotic stage by their own nature. The adults are in search of

joy or bliss but they are not aware that they are in search of their own childhood” –

Balarishi Sri Vishvashirasini

Children are very receptive as their minds are very new and ready to explore. What that’s been taught to them as a child, will be their asset for their future. But it highly depends on the educational system that is in place for them. To say, the mode of education is not alike in urban and rural places. An eighth standard child is not able to differentiate between the lower case and upper case alphabets at the village here! This clearly picturises the serious setback in their knowledge and thecurrent academic trainingdoes not bridge their needs. To give a wholesome education to the underprivileged children Balarishi Sri Vishvashirasini, came up with a rural education programme called SRI VISHWADHARA through her Sri Vishvashirasini Nada Yoga Foundation.

Under this project, as a start we organized a small summer camp for children, from April – June 2012 with special training in Communicative English, Maths, Sports and Drawing. With the help of sponsors, the academic tuition training programme was extended for the whole academic year at the Nada Peedam The tuition is being carried over by well qualified lecturers and teachers and regular feedbacks are gathered for the improvisation of the project.

An organised team study

Apart from this, a special training on sports are given to the identified children on the weekends. And now hundreds of children in the surrounding villagesexpress their interest to enroll in the academic training  programme. Also the children are fed with highly nutritious food during their time at Nada peetam. This training at the Nada peetam helps the children to build character, gain confidence and clarity!
